NoodleTools Directions: Check these directions for creating a NoodleTools account and tips for usage.  Your student planner also contains citation formatting rules.  Note: NoodleTools account must be created while in school.

Country Reports Country Reports: CountryReports provides over 35,000 pages of online content on the cultures and countries of the world.
CultureGrams CultureGrams:  CultureGrams provides cultural and geographic information of 182 countries, territories and all 50 of the United States.
EBSCO Databases

EBSCO DATABASES:

ERIC:  Educational articles are compiled in this database. 

Health Source:  Provides information on medical sciences, food sciences, childcare and sports medicine.

Middle Search Plus:  Search for magazine and journal articles written at the middle school level.

Newspaper Source:  Newspaper articles, television and radio transcripts are searchable in this database.

Searchasaurus:  Search by term or browse subjects using pictures to find information on a variety of topics.

Topic Search:  Search current event topics using this database.

Gale

Gale Virtual Reference: This site acts as if you are surfing the web, but you are in fact viewing e-Books.  E-Books are digitized reference books.  Search over 250 Gale Reference volumens on a variety of topics including arts, biographies, business, education, environment, history, literature, medicine, multicultural studies, nation & world, religion, science and social studies.

Marshall Cavendish

Marshall Cavendish Digital: This database provides full-color books electronically.  They provide full-text and illustrations for your research and reading pleasure.

NetTrekker

NetTrekker: This resource is a portal to the Web.  Search by subject or person and web pages are available in languages other than English.  Users may choose to read webpages at an easier reading level for more difficult concepts or at a more advanced reading level.  This is a great site for finding pictures.  Note: If you'd like to have the material read to you, click on the icon for Read Aloud and highlight the material you want to hear.

PowerKids Life Science

PowerKids Life Science: This resource includes key life science topics including animals, classification, endangered and extinct species, food chains and food webs, green living, habitats and ecosystems, the human body, life cycles, plants, survival and adaptation. 400+ articles, dynamic videos, interactive games, hands-on projects, experiments and activities.

NoveList K-8 Plus NoveList K-8 Plus: is a great online resource for helping teachers, school media specialists and kids find that next great book to read. Created especially for kids (and the adults who work with them), it has a colorful, graphic-rich homepage and is very easy to use.
NoveList Plus NoveList Plus: Searches thousands of fiction and nonfiction books at and beyond the K-8 level.
TrueFlix

TrueFlix (Use this link to access while in school): Watch a video for background knowledge.  Read a book to learn more about various science and social studies topics. Explore more about a topic of interest!

TumbleReadables TumbleReadables: This is an online collection of read-along titles for elementary, middle school, and high school students which features adjustable online text and complete audio narration. Sentences are highlighted as they are being read and the pages turn automatically.

BrainPop: offers educational and interactive online activities that span six main subjects including science, math, language arts, social studies, health and technology.  BrainPOP requires a username and password, which you can get from your library information teacher or from the Home Access Passwords page.  Content which requires a subscription is available only during school hours, but there are many activities that are free.

CompassLearning Compass Learning:  This site has individualized teacher selected activities for students based on MAP testing results.
Defined STEM Defined STEM: Defined STEM is a web-based application designed to promote effective and relevant connections between 21st century learning skills and how those skills are used across all subjects and curriculum. (Student link to an assignment.)
Online Classrooms District Online Classrooms:  Join your teacher's online classroom to further discuss topics covered in class.
Glogster EDU Glogster:  This site allows students to express their creativity, knowledge, ideas and skills by building a Glog focused on a wide variety of content.
Gizmos Gizmos:  Math and science activities selected for students by their teacher.
My VR Spot My VR Spot: Use this resource to upload and edit your videos.
